Here at JUMC, we have many ministries that provide us the opportunity to serve.  We have ministries that support our church as well as our community.  "We are His hands."

What better way to show and share God's love than to be a part of a ministry that you are passionate about.

We are still in the process of adding them all here.  Come back soon to learn more.

  • A Moment in Time

Caring for someone with dementia is not usually considered fun.  Isolation, depression, boredom, stress, frustration can describe not only the caregiver but the person with the diagnosis.  A Moment in Time, formerly known as The Memory Café, is a social gathering of people with any form or stage of dementia as well as their Care Partner.  It is a stigma free environment to gather, share and enjoy activities and refreshments with people who are going through the same thing.

Come, fellowship, get out and have a little fun!

We meet the 3rd Tuesday of every month between 1:30pm - 3:30pm.

  • Agape Cafe

Agape Cafe, which started in September 2012, originated from the vision of a small group of church members who saw a need in the community and decided to take action!  Click the image for more information.

  • JEs Backpack Ministry

This ministry was established in October, 2019.  A counselor from Jamestown Elementary approached one of our pastors to inquire about assistance for 10 students with food insecurities.  The rest is history.  Click the image for a short video and more information.

  • OutReach Thrift Center

The JUMC Outreach Thrift Center (OTC) reopened for customers on September 14th, following its closure since March 2020.  The hours of operation are Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday 10:00am - 12:30pm.  The OTC Board met to establish guidelines to reopen.  We invite you to visit the newly redesigned store.

The protocols require everyone to wear a mask, use hand sanitizer, and we’re limiting the number of customers in the building to 12 at a time.

Types of donations no longer accepted include: adult books (however, we welcome children's books); pictures; lamps; no electronics.  We will continue to accept gently used clothing and assorted household items.  Donations will be received ONLY during open hours Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at the door to the right of the building.  Signage will be in place to assist you with finding where to drop your items.  For more information call, (336) 454-6765.
