The Outreach Thrift Center was formed many years ago by some
caring ladies who wanted to help children.
It has grown into a body that still gives to our schools, but also to so
many other organizations.
The JUMC Outreach Center operates through the volunteer
efforts of dozens of women and men and is a vital support of our community. Generous donations from our church members and
others, allow the Center to continue to serve those who are most in need. One of its missions is to offer
quality goods (i.e. clothing, shoes, household goods, etc.) to be purchased at a
minimal price to those, in our community, who visit. The center
is governed by a Board, the director, Doll Pridgen and the treasurer, Don
McDaniel. All proceeds are returned throughout
the community through donations.
On Tuesday, September 14th the JUMC Outreach Thrift Center (OTC) reopened for customers following its closure since March 2020. The hours of operation will be Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday 10:00am - 12:30pm. The OTC Board has been meeting to establish Team Leaders and volunteers as well as guidelines to reopen. We are ready and invite you to visit the newly redesigned store.
