Music Ministry
Back To Broadway Fundraiser
The Jamestown United Methodist Church Chancel Choir along with Jamestown & Southwest Middle and Ragsdale & Southwest High schools will present "Back to Broadway."
Join us as these choirs come together to perform some of your favorite Broadway musical songs. This is a free concert event and open to the public with limited seating.
As this is a fundraiser we are opening up a donation page now so that you might share with friends and families prior to the special event. All proceeds will benefit the choral programs of each of these participating schools.

"Music knows no national boundaries (unlike verbal languages) as it can speak directly to the heart, to the emotions. It is vital for music to be subject to the authority of the word of God and to serve the ministry of that word in our churches. Let it be said in the strongest possible terms that vibrant, lively, varied, engaging music is a huge boon, which significantly strengthens word ministry and enables believers to respond to God in heartfelt, genuine thankfulness, as well as in prayer and intercession."

Once Upon A Tree
by Pepper Choplin - Shawnee Press
The original words and music by Pepper Choplin will immerse your in the passion and intensity of the events of Holy Week. As the character of Luke is deeply touched by the story he is recording, the choir and soloist assume his role in the drama. Starting with Palm Sunday, it eloquently moves through the major events up to Good Friday and finally Easter.
Performed by the Jamestown UMC Chancel Choir on April 10, 2022 and
directed by Dr. Marc Foster.
