People ages 55+ are invited to join us for lunch on the first Tuesday of the month (September through May, at 11:30 a.m.  This adult ministry provides a time of fellowship and speakers/programs as well as an opportunity to gather together for a meal. 


May 7th | 11:30am


Join us for the end-of-year party on May 7th at 11:30 am in the Fellowship Hall. There will be lots of time for fellowship and we’ll play a short trivia game, so bring your thinking caps! Lunch is hot dogs and hamburgers with all the trimmings and an ice cream sundae bar for dessert. Register by May 5th to reserve your spot. Don’t forget to invite a friend or neighbor to come with you! The cost is $5.00 per person. Our mission focus for May is the Blessing Box. To help support this ministry, please bring a non-perishable food item with you.

On The Move

If you like Young at Heart, then you’ll love On The Move! It includes the fun and fellowship of Young at Heart but we add in day trips to local sites and restaurants in North Carolina.


We look forward to exploring North Carolina with you!


On The Move | Culp Planetarium | May 16th


The Culp Planetarium at High Point University uses powerful software that allows you to “fly through” 3D models of the human body, explore geological and other earth science demonstrations, and even execute virtual physics experiments.  Join other senior adults from JUMC on a trip to Culp Planetarium on Thursday, May 16th at 10:00am. The experience is FREE but make sure you sign up so we can have a spot for you in the church van. Please invite your neighbors and friends on this educational trip! 

The last day to register is Sunday, May 12.
