We believe that the worship of God is central to the Christian faith, and that worshiping together is fundamental to the growth and development of our faith community.

A consensus process isn’t about tallying “yes” or “no”, it’s about listening, naming shared values, and shaping a path forward that the group can stand behind as wise and faithful.
We listened deeply, not only to one another, but also to you. Your feedback in the Coffee with Council sessions, your phone calls, and your emails all shaped the conversation and the clarity we arrived at together.
This wasn’t about winning or losing. It was about discerning, with the Holy Spirit’s help, what is wise and faithful for our church as a whole.
We are grateful for your prayers, and grateful for the care, honesty, and trust that this congregation offered throughout the process.
We truly believe the Holy Spirit has guided us in this decision, leading us beyond simply surviving and into an exciting new season for Jamestown United Methodist Church.
We’ve seen more youth involvement and energy in worship, and this one service has allowed our whole church family to reconnect with one another and with our community. There’s a real sense of rejuvenation and renewal happening among us!
We’re excited to continue gathering together for our 10:00am worship service, and we look forward to seeing where the Spirit will lead us next!
