Jamestown UMC wants to walk beside you in your times of celebration or need. Our congregational care ministries offer support for all aspects of life—from weddings and baptisms to funerary arrangements and hospital visits, our pastors and staff are here to help with your special service.
Prayer

Baptism
There are many opportunities throughout the year to schedule a baptism. The first step is a conversation with one of our pastors. In this meeting, one of our pastors will discuss the meaning and responsibilities of baptism, including its significance for membership in the church.
Weddings
A wedding is a sacred ceremony where spouses enter into a covenant relationship before God, which forms the foundation of their marriage. By choosing to be married by a representative of God’s church, you invite God’s presence into the wedding ceremony, purposefully asking for God’s blessing upon your marriage.
Funerals & Memorial Services
Loss of a loved one and the subsequent arrangements for a service can be a stressful time for all involved. Please accept our sympathy and our promise to do all that we can in the love and spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ to help you through this time of grief.
Many details and decisions must be made in a short timeframe. The first step in the planning process is to meet with our funeral team. Our team will work with you to answer questions, offer suggestions, and guide you through the planning process. As a part of this process, we offer this written information as a reference for you and your family. Our pastors and staff would be honored to provide the service for your loved one here at the church, a funeral home or graveside. We want to help – just let us know how.
