Baptism & Weddings
Baptism
Baptisms are one of the Sacraments in the United Methodist Church. People of all ages can be baptized at Jamestown. We baptize with water and make the sign of the cross on the forehead with anointing oil to invite the presence of the Holy Spirit. There are many opportunities throughout the year to schedule a baptism. The first step is a conversation with one of our pastors. In this meeting, one of our pastors will discuss the meaning and responsibilities of baptism, including its significance for membership in the church. To schedule a meeting, please call 336-545-2717.
Weddings
A wedding is the Christian celebration of a couple’s love and commitment to each other and to God. In this sacred ceremony, spouses enter into a covenant relationship before God, which forms the foundation of their marriage. By choosing to be married by a representative of God’s church, you invite God’s presence into the wedding ceremony, purposefully asking for God’s blessing upon your marriage.
